Hectic week? Don't care cause, I GOT DEM PASTAZ!
Save time, save money and healthier than instant noodles so why not!
If you're reading this just to cook your simple pasta, congrats, you found my entry!
Here we go ~
Ingredients :
1) Pasta of your choice
2) Sauce of your choice
3) Salt // Pepper // Herbs ( To enhance the taste of your pasta - optional )
4) Olives oil // Garlic Oil
Steps :
1) Bring the pasta of your choice to boil.
Boiling time varies for different types of pasta. Of the types of pasta that I've tried :
Angel Hair - about <8 mins // Spaghetti <15 mins // Linguine <18 mins
*Pinches of salt can be added to the water if you're afraid that the taste of your pasta might be bland*
While waiting for the pasta, drip a few drips of olive oil // garlic oil onto your plate or bowl. It will prevent the pasta from sticking together.
I love using the garlic oil prepared by my mom for my pasta as there will always be a lot of crunchy garlic crumbs in it. Just imagine eating your plain pasta with those crunchy garlic crumbs *drools*
2) Boil the veges // eggs // anything that you'll like to add to your pasta.
You can boil all these before or even after boiling the pasta. Arrange it at the side of your plate // bowl containing pasta and wait for the last step : heating the sauce.
3) Heat the sauce of your choice.
You can also add extra pepper or salt to the sauce of your choice but what I normally did before heating the sauce is that I'll always add some water to it as I don't like my pasta sauce to be too thick. Just a little, not too much or else the sauce will turn out very watery.
Heating the sauce will take just a few mins. If you're cooking 1-2 portion it will only take you <5 mins to heat the sauce.
After heating, pour the sauce onto your pasta and there you go, you're ready to eat!
I usually did my dishes while waiting, just to save time.
For this whole cooking process, it will only take me +/- 30mins.
From washing to cooking to washing *wink*
And yes, might be cooking simple squid ink pasta next // curry laksa pasta with potatoes, Japanese tofu and shrimps // Konlo Pasta ( with traditional Chinese thick soy sauce ) so be sure to comeback and check it out!
Let me know if this helps. Till next time xx.
